The Bahá’í World volumes were established in 1926 under the direction of Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Faith, as a unique record of world-wide Bahá’í activity. First published as The Bahá’í Yearbook in 1926, the volumes sought to present to the general public…those historical facts and fundamental principles that constitute the distinguishing features of the Message of Bahá’u’lláh.The Bahá’í World was published until 2006. Over time, many of its original functions were fulfilled by the network of official Bahá’í websites.
